As divided as wrestling fans so often are, there is one unifying constant among us all, and that is, for all the criticism and promotional tribalism, we just want this business to make us feel better and to take our minds off the stresses of the modern world, if only for a couple of hours.

And nobody was enraptured by the wrestling business more than Connor ‘The Crusher’ Michalek.

Connor was a WWE megafan who, tragically, passed away at the age of eight after a five-year battle with Medulloblastoma (cancer of the spine and brain).

However, during his all-too-brief life, Connor captured the hearts and minds of not only his fellow fans, but those performing in front of him as well, as he met his hero Daniel Bryan, striking up a heartwarming relationship that has stayed with Bryan ever since.

Connor was sat in the front row during WrestleMania 30 in New Orleans when Bryan finally overcame his status as a ‘B+ Player’ and vanquished Batista and Randy Orton to become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The pair embraced after Bryan’s victory. It was just one of several cherished moments they spent together.

He was christened ‘The Crusher’ and, in the aftermath of his heartbreaking passing, less than 20 days after witnessing Bryan’s title triumph, WWE set up ‘Connor’s Cure’ – a charity aimed at combating paediatric cancer.

It is this very same charity that Wrestling Travel will be aiming to help with our upcoming WrestleMania 37 packages.

For every package sold for ‘Mania 37, WT will donate £20 to Connor’s Cure and do our best to help in the battle against paediatric cancer.

Given that ‘Mania 37 is shaping up to be our biggest trip of all time, this should result in an incredible donation to an incredible cause.

On top of this, WT will be furthering our efforts to raise money for CC by officially presenting this year’s ManiaCrawl in Tampa, Florida, which will see all proceeds donated to Connor’s Cure and The Children’s Hospital.
