WrestleMania 36 airs this Saturday and Sunday (April 4th & 5th) in an event that has been dubbed by WWE as ‘Too Big For Just One Night!’

Initially, WWE’s biggest spectacular of the year was due to take place on Sunday 5th April at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa FL, but due to the Coronavirus outbreak those plans had to be scrapped.

WrestleMania has been pre-taped at the WWE Performance Centre in Orlando, FL, with only essential personnel present. This will mark the first-time ever a WrestleMania event has been held with no fans in attendance. Some other matches will also take place on other closed-set locations.

Triple H recently explained the decision on ESPN’s SportsCenter, citing putting smiles on the WWE’s fans faces during this unprecedented time was the main goal. “Having something that they can tune into, forget about everything that’s going on or what they have happening in their lives or not being able to leave their house, or whatever it is, and just tune out for a few hours, tune into something that’s just fantastical, and just forget about it all. And we feel not only the need to do that but sort of the obligation to do that for people.”

We know that some WWE Superstars will not be performing at WrestleMania 36, the most high-profile being Roman Reigns, who confirmed on his Instagram a few days ago, that he had removed himself from the event for personal reasons. Rey Mysterio, Andrade, Buddy Murphy & Dana Brooke are also notable names to sit out the event.
