The PWI 500 Professional Wrestlers of 2020

The PWI Top 500 Professional Wrestlers of 2020 has been officially released online. This year amongst Pandemic woes, the AEW World Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley has taken the coveted top spot.

In an upcoming interview that will be featured within Pro Wrestling Illustrated, the AEW World Champion stated that “I’m not looking for external validation. But PWI was such a big part of my childhood. To be number one … It’s pretty cool.”

Pro Wrestling Illustrated has revealed that the evaluation period for this year’s PWI 500 is July 1st, 2019 – June 30th, 2020. 

The criteria for ranking are as follows:

  • Win-loss record
  • Technical ability
  • Influence on the sport
  • Success against the highest grade of competition
  • Success against the most diverse competition
  • Activity

Note: Women have also been ranked within the Top 500 for the very first time.
